What is Amazon GuardDuty and what does it offer to you as a customer within AWS?
Let’s go over. What is Amazon GuardDuty GuardDuty is a managed threat detection platform that AWS offers to you to protect your AWS accounts from different threats out there that are looking to attack your AWS account and resources?
Amazon GuardDuty is a managed service! So you don’t have to worry about setting up EC2 or resources or software to get the service up and running for you! It’s continuously monitoring your AWS account! So that’s always looking at things such as VPC, flow logs, DNS logs, cloud trail, and it’s looking at all those different sources of data for different patterns. It’s Constantly monitoring the data sets for you on the backend moreover running it through a machine learning algorithm. Additionally, optimized for the cloud! So it’s not a platform like some of the third party platforms?!
